From a young age, Jack was drawn to any equipment he could get his hands on. While most kids were inside playing video games, Jack was outside, fascinated by the way things worked. Whether it was fixing equipment, tinkering with tools, or just staying busy with a project, he could never sit still.
Jack’s love for operating machinery grew as he did. From childhood to his early years in the workforce, he always found himself working with heavy equipment, whether on a farm or in construction. His hands-on experience fueled his desire to turn this passion into a career. So, in 2023, Jack took the leap and founded Matthees Excavating with one simple goal: to provide high-quality, reliable excavation services while creating a business that he could be proud of.
